Aurora Industrial Machines (Aurora) is a cleantech startup with a purpose to redefine how we relate to energy. Founded in 2016 and based in Steveston, British Columbia, Canada, with the ethos of good design that does good in the world, we are pioneering new ways of solving some of the world's biggest energy challenges. And we are doing so by introducing a new class of super-efficient smart digital motors, our flagship product, slated for commercial production in 2022. Followed by a line of integrated cleantech systems we have in the works, we hope to enact significant change in energy generation, integration and operations.

Our story.

Born out of desire to help the planet and create sustainable energy systems which work in tandem with nature, we are building an innovative line of industrial products, allowing both large and small scale operations to power their businesses more affordably while doing good for the planet. But this is just the beginning.

We started our journey over a decade ago with focus on the development of a new type of machine that can be use to either generate power or operate as an incredibly efficient electric motor.

Over the last few decades, electric motors have seen little-to-no improvement in efficiencies. Many of those motors become obsolete and breakdown after 5-10 years resulting in substantive financial downtime and replacement costs. Even worse, many of these retired machines aren’t recyclable, were produced with poor environmental standards, and require rare-mined materials that can only be obtained through massive harming of the environment. At Aurora, our goal was to develop a machine made from recyclable materials, made to last over 25 years, and that dramatically reduces energy consumption and GHG emissions..

Our vision for the world is simple: being in balance with nature. We believe that new technology doesn’t need to be expensive but can lead to positive returns for our customer in the shortest time period possible. We want to help our customers become as environmentally responsible as possible while not negatively impacting their bottom line.

As we collaborate with businesses across North America to power their systems, our team has designed a suite of integrated sustainable systems of our own which can be used in different environments, and serve different purposes: from cleaning our water to powering billboards. What do they all have in common? They are all powered by our flagship product: The Matrix Machine™.

Looking into the future we are already developing solutions for the marine, aviation, vertical farming, carbon capture industries. We are supporting renewable energy as well in the areas of solar and wind power generation. We can’t wait to share our innovations with you.
